Disney's Early Theme Park Entry Falls Short for Some Guests

Guests staying at Disney World hotels have access to several perks, including Early Theme Park Entry. This benefit allows eligible guests to enter Walt Disney World theme parks 30 minutes before regular opening.

However, this advantage may not be as valuable as it seems. Many visitors arrive early specifically to target high-demand attractions, and crowds can gather before Early Entry begins. As a result, the extra half hour may feel like a waste of time for those who got up early just for this perk.

Disney Resort hotel guests also have access to Lightning Lane selections earlier than off-property visitors. This can be helpful when popular attractions are a priority. Additionally, resort guests can make dining reservations for their entire stay, up to 10 nights, once their 60-day booking window opens.

Certain Walt Disney World attractions require additional planning, such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Early Entry remains one tool for tackling these rides, but those 30 minutes shouldn't be treated as a guarantee of short waits.
