The Walt Disney World Resort has been undertaking several refurbishment projects at its Deluxe Magic Kingdom Resort Area hotel, and one of them is the Alice in Wonderland-themed splash pad at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The play area was closed on August 12 without any official announcement from the resort, leaving guests curious about the status of the project.

As of late August, the giant Mad Hatter cap water bucket had been uncovered and was no longer wrapped in plastic, but water was still not flowing throughout the splash pad or its slides. A construction lift was spotted nearby, indicating that the refurbishment is not yet complete.

The Alice in Wonderland-themed aquatic play area remains closed at the time of this article's publication, with Walt Disney World Resort providing no update on when it will reopen. However, other pools and hotel amenities remain available for guests to enjoy.
