Disney's Hollywood Brown Derby Refurbishment Almost Complete
The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios is nearing the end of its refurbishment. The iconic dining location, inspired by the legendary Los Angeles eatery, opened on May 1, 1989.
Construction began in June, with rolling planters and barriers blocking the patio space outside the main entrance. Initially, it seemed like a simple paving project, but Disney soon refinished the outer wall and revealed plans to reimagine the outdoor dining area with more amenities for guests.
Crews recently installed fans, golden decorative beams, and light fixtures underneath an awning framework that matches the other structures on the restaurant. The Hollywood Brown Derby Table-Service location is operating normally inside, but the Lounge has been reduced to a smaller side-patio area due to construction.
