Disney's Hollywood Studios Fires Up Fireworks Displays for First Time in Years
Disney's Hollywood Studios is in the midst of significant changes, and it appears that the park may be preparing to introduce fireworks displays once again. Testing took place overnight at the park, with multiple reports of fireworks launches from the World Drive launch site, which has been largely unused since the end of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.
The testing could be related to several upcoming events, including a private function for the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo on October 20 or the holiday season. However, some fans speculate that the park may finally be bringing back regular fireworks spectaculars, which have been a staple of the park's past.
Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular was a nightly show from late 2015 until its replacement by Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular in June 2016. The latter used large-scale fireworks combined with projections, lasers, fire, and other effects around the Chinese Theatre.
