Disney's Hollywood Studios Overhauls Merchandise Location with Fresh Flooring
Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios has undergone a subtle change as part of its ongoing refurbishment efforts. The Celebrity 5 & 10 merchandise location on Hollywood Boulevard has received new flooring, replacing the old gray, black, and rust-colored pattern with large beige, black, green, and blue tiles laid in square patterns.
The renovation is part of a larger effort to revamp the Darkroom and Celebrity 5 & 10 locations. While the updated flooring suggests that the permanent cash register may not return, there's still a possibility that a temporary checkout area could be installed during busy periods.
The refurbishment has not affected the normal operation of The Darkroom and Celebrity 5 & 10, which continue to offer Disney-themed merchandise such as trading pins, housewares, and exclusive souvenirs. Walt Disney World has not publicly commented on the renovation, following its typical policy of only issuing statements for construction that significantly impacts guest experiences.
