Disney's Hollywood Studios Unveils Historic Animators' Office
The Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios is getting a new addition - the Animators' Office. Walt Disney Imagineering gave fans a sneak peek into this space, which features real artifacts deliberately placed throughout the room.
The centerpiece of the tour is a desk saved from the original animation academy that operated at Hollywood Studios. This desk was once located where guests could find a screen-used speeder bike prop from Return of the Jedi in Star Wars Launch Bay.
Other notable items include a building replica representing Disney's feature animation facility in California, a ping-pong set gifted to the feature animation group in California, and a mirror sourced by Once Upon a Studio director Dan Abraham at a flea market. A copy of Rabbit Rabbit, the weekly magazine handed out to animators in the building, is also on display.
The Animators' Office also includes wardrobe and production pieces pulled from specific Disney films, such as Moana, Hercules, and Chicken Little. These items tie each film's production history to the themed space.
