Walt Disney's life was marked by humble beginnings and an eventual rise to fame as the creator of beloved films and theme parks.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Disney grew up with his parents and three older brothers in Marceline, Missouri, where he first discovered his love for drawing.

After moving to Hollywood at a young age, Disney's career took off, but so did his need for bigger homes. He purchased his first home in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood in 1927, which was followed by several other residences that showcased his creative and whimsical style.

One of his most notable homes is the storybook mansion on Woking Way in Los Feliz, built in 1932 with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a pool. The house featured a screening room, a miniature railroad system, and even a playhouse inspired by Snow White's cottage.

Disney eventually left this home for an estate in Holmby Hills, where he lived until his death in 1966. This sprawling property included a red barn that served as the control center for his beloved Carolwood Pacific Railroad.
