Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Coming to Walt Disney World in July 2027

A new resort is coming to Walt Disney World in Florida - Disney's Lakeshore Lodge. The 967-room resort will feature accommodations ranging from studios and villas to freestanding waterfront houses, all with designs inspired by classic Disney animated films.

The lodge will be located along Bay Lake, across from Discovery Island, east of Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge, and just north of the Fort Wilderness Recreation Area. The nature-themed lobby will feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking The Wetlands, the resort's outdoor recreation area.

The accommodations will use natural materials, earth-toned colors, and artwork inspired by classic animated films with outdoor and nature themes. There will be duo and deluxe studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, resort studios, waterfront Lake Houses, and a presidential suite.

Disney's Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open on July 1, 2027, with reservations opening up in October this year for Disney Vacation Club members, followed by annual passholders, and then the general public. The lodge will feature three primary dining locations: Moonglade, a table-service restaurant; Bay Lake Provisions, an all-day quick-service marketplace; and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill.

Guests in select club-level rooms will have access to The Artist's Nest, a concierge lounge overlooking the treetops. Disney also plans to offer interactive water features, including areas for children to splash and slide, as well as a leisure pool and whirlpool spa positioned to provide nighttime views of Magic Kingdom fireworks.
