Disney's Lakeshore Lodge to Open in 2027 with Nature-Inspired Rooms
Disney has announced an opening date for its new Lakeshore Lodge resort at Walt Disney World Resort. The 967-room resort will open on July 1, 2027, and promises to be a serene retreat for guests, blending the wonders of nature with the magic of Disney storytelling.
The resort's rooms will range from duo studios to spacious studios, one-of-a-kind waterfront Lake Houses, and three-bedroom grand villas. Each room is designed to accommodate different sizes of travel parties and offers unique amenities and natural design elements inspired by classic Disney films such as Encanto, Bambi, and Fantasia.
One of the standout features of the resort will be its Lake Houses, which are freestanding one- and two-bedroom retreats with private porches overlooking Bay Lake. Guests staying in these units can enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the interior with light and lake views, as well as artwork celebrating Walt Disney Animation Studios' Brother Bear.
