Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Unveils Lobby and Dining Details Ahead of 2027 Opening
A year from its opening in summer 2027, Disney has revealed more details about the upcoming Lakeshore Lodge at Walt Disney World. The resort's lobby will transport guests into a natural environment with floor-to-ceiling windows showing off the views of The Wetlands outdoor recreation area.
Disney drew inspiration from Pocahontas for its design choices, including a fiberoptic river illuminating the floor and a blown glass sculpture featuring hundreds of suspended glass leaves. Custom tapestries and furnishings will also evoke the landscapes seen in the film.
The resort will feature three dining experiences: Moonglade, a table-service restaurant with water views; Bay Lake Provisions, an all-day quick-service marketplace offering specialty coffees and fresh fare; and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, which will showcase original artwork created by Imagineers as they drew inspiration from the Bay Lake landscapes.
Guests can also gather at Dandelion Terrace to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks each night. The area will feature a two-story gallery of archival Disney artwork from classic films like Fantasia, along with dandelion light fixtures.
