Disney's Monorail Narration Gets a Makeover, Vaping Warning Added
The Walt Disney World monorail system has undergone changes to its narration, specifically on the Express Monorail line. The new audio includes an explicit warning about vaping, stating that it is prohibited aboard the train. This change reflects an existing policy, which already restricts smoking and vaping to designated areas.
Additionally, the updated narration replaces older language with 'Cast Member' terminology, replacing phrases such as 'host or hostess'. The only remaining unchanged phrase from the original narration is 'ladies and gentlemen'.
The changes were documented on August 26, 2026, and apply to the Express Monorail operating between the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and Magic Kingdom. Disney's existing transportation policy states that smoking and vaping are allowed only in designated areas.
