Disney's Next Hotel Project Takes Shape with New Concept Art
Walt Disney World is moving forward with its next hotel project, Lakeshore Lodge. The resort, which will feature 967 rooms, is currently under construction on the site of the old River Country water park across Bay Lake from the Magic Kingdom and next to the Fort Wilderness Resort.
Lakeshore Lodge's lobby will have a unique look, with concept art showing a guest entering the space with what appears to be a Disneyland bag. This has sparked some speculation about whether this was an intentional design choice or an error.
Other amenities at Lakeshore Lodge include Moonglade, a table-service restaurant with a dining room facing Cypress trees on the Bay Lake shoreline; Bay Lake Provisions for quick service dining; Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, a pool bar located next to the resort's lagoon; and Dandelion Terrace, where guests can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night.
