Disney's Theme Parks and Toy Story Fuel Strong Q3 Results
Disney's third quarter results were boosted by the success of 'Toy Story 5' and strong performance from its U.S. theme parks, offsetting weakness in international tourism.
The Experiences division, which includes Disney's six global theme parks, cruise line, merchandise, and video game licensing, reported a 20% increase in operating income to $3.02 billion and revenue of $9.97 billion for the quarter.
The domestic parks saw a 27% rise in operating income, while international parks and Experiences experienced a decline of 13%.
The company's U.S. theme parks saw a 3% increase in attendance from a year ago, driven by an increase in domestic tourists and annual passholders, as well as summer promotions and new experiences.
