Disney's Tower of Terror Scaffolding Expansion Continues
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios has seen significant changes to its facade in recent weeks. Crews began installing scaffolding on the far right side above the gift shop in early July, expanding it across that wall and then to the front of the building later in the month.
Last week, the scaffolding continued to grow as it was added to the far left side past the drop shaft. Despite these changes, the attraction remains operational with its elevator windows not blocked by the construction.
A refurbishment of the Tower's queue began in early May, and the gift shop exit previously had flags removed and scrim covering some facade details. The cause for this scaffolding work is unclear, but it does not appear to be impacting visitors' experience of the attraction.
