Disney's World Princess Week Treats: Hits and Misses
Disney has released 12 new treats to celebrate World Princess Week, which starts on August 16th and runs until August 22nd. The treats can be found at various Disney resorts and locations around the property.
AllEars.Net recently got a chance to try three of these new desserts and shared their review with readers. One treat that didn't quite live up to expectations was the Tiana's Caramel Éclair from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, priced at $7.49. The reviewer felt that the éclair lacked crunch due to being chilled, and the honey cream filling was overly sweet.
On the other hand, the Princess of the Bayou from Amorette's Patisserie in Disney Springs was a hit. This vanilla chiffon cake with pistachio-praline crunch and orange pâte de fruit topped with pistachio mousse impressed the reviewer with its delicate flavors and textures.
The Lemon Blueberry Entremet from Le Petit Cafe at Disney's Riviera Resort was also well-received, boasting a beautiful combination of lemon chiffon cake, blueberry mousse, lemon curd, and blueberry compote. The reviewer praised the cake's perfect balance of moistness and crumb, as well as the tartness of the lemon balancing out the sweetness of the blueberries.
The reviewer is eager to continue trying more of these new treats during World Princess Week.
