Ditch Google's Trending Search Suggestions and Stay Focused

Are you tired of getting sidetracked by Google's trending searches while trying to look up something simple? You're not alone. The search engine's Autocomplete with trending searches feature can turn a straightforward query into a rabbit hole of unrelated topics.

This happens when your location-based, real-time suggestions are based on what other people in your area are searching for right now. To disable this feature and stick to your own search history, you'll need to adjust the settings in each device where Google is installed.

On desktop browsers, open Google Search Settings by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner of the page or visiting google.com, then navigating to Other settings and toggling off Autocomplete with trending searches. Mobile browser methods are similar but have slightly different interfaces.

Even if you disable trending searches on one device, they'll still appear on others unless you adjust each setting separately. Your personal search suggestions will remain unaffected by this change, so your Google searches will be more focused and relevant to what you need.
