Doonbeg Prepares for Amgen Irish Open Security Operation
The Irish Open golf tournament in Doonbeg is set to be one of the largest security operations in the country this year. To accommodate the expected influx of visitors, Gardaí have implemented major traffic and parking restrictions.
Parking will be prohibited in the village from Tuesday, September 8th, and the N67 will be closed to traffic from Friday, September 11th. Access to the event will be facilitated by park-and-ride shuttle buses only.
Residents living near the event will require identification and proof of address to access their property during the tournament. Any vehicles parked on the roadway may be towed.
