Doonbeg Prepares for Masses of Visitors Ahead of Amgen Irish Open
The village of Doonbeg is preparing to welcome an influx of visitors for the Amgen Irish Open, a four-day golf competition that will bring over 80,000 supporters to Trump International Golf Links and Hotel.
Marquees have been set up outside local pubs and restaurants to provide extra space for spectators, while Clare County Council has also brought in additional toilet facilities to accommodate the large crowd.
Rural and Community Development Officer Seamus Murrihy said that the community has come together to provide the best hospitality possible, with many locals pitching in to help.
