Dow Drops 0.51% as Consumer Goods Sectors Weigh
US stocks finished lower on Friday, weighed down by losses in consumer goods, telecoms, and healthcare sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.51%, with Caterpillar Inc leading the gainers at 1.72% or $13.80 to close at $813.94.
However, Apple Inc led the losers at 2.51% or $8.24 to trade at $319.97 at the close.
The S&P 500 also declined, with KLA Corporation rising 7.32% to $185.60 and NRG Energy Inc up 6.42% to settle at $119.02.
