Dow Falls 0.70%, Sectors Like Consumer Services and Utilities Weigh Heavily
U.S. equities closed lower on Monday, led by losses in the Consumer Services, Utilities, and Industrials sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.70%, with Chevron Corp rising 2.12% to $206.14, Walmart Inc up 1.73% to $104.87, and NVIDIA Corporation increasing 1.48% to $220.78.
However, Amazon.com Inc led the losers, declining 2.50% to $259.76, followed by Honeywell International Inc down 1.79% to $213.53, and Sherwin-Williams Co shedding 1.75% to $338.81.
