Dow Hits Record as Tensions Ease
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a record high after signs of de-escalating US-Iran tensions pulled oil prices and Treasury yields lower.
Brent crude settled down about 5% at USD83.77 a barrel, while the Dow rose by approximately 1.3%, with the S&P 500 gaining 1.5% and the Nasdaq Composite adding 2.1%.
In a separate development, US President Donald Trump criticized ExxonMobil and Chevron for making 'too much money' from high fuel prices, urging them to cut retail petrol prices and give some back to consumers.
