Dow Hits Record High as Snowflake Soars and Salesforce Falls Short
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a fresh record high on Wednesday, rising 0.36% to 50,644.28.
Meanwhile, Snowflake's stock price surged over 30% in after-hours trading after the company announced a $6 billion AI procurement deal with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The agreement includes Snowflake investing $6 billion in AWS over the next five years to purchase Graviton chips and GPUs for AI.
However, Salesforce's guidance fell short of expectations, causing its shares to fall more than 3% in after-hours trading. The company reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $11.13 billion, a 13% year-over-year increase.
