The US stock market saw significant gains on Wednesday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) broke through the 54,000 mark for the first time in its history. The index ended at 54,085.88, up 907.47 points or 1.71% from the previous day's close.

The S&P 500 index also reached a new all-time high, climbing 136.02 points or 1.8% to trade around 7,736.52. The Nasdaq Composite index surged by 671.10 points or 2.6%, ending at 26,584.99.

The rally was driven by strong earnings reports from major companies such as Caterpillar and McDonald's, which beat estimates for the second quarter. Additionally, hopes of a peace deal between the US and Iran that would calm inflationary pressures and economic crisis also contributed to the market's optimism.
