The index's gains were led by Amazon, which rose 15.63%, followed closely by Alphabet at 7.12% and Nvidia at 3.46%.
On the other hand, Apple was among the biggest losers, falling 7.13%, while Boeing dropped 1.90% and UnitedHealth declined 1.58%.
