Dr Reddy's Enters US Market with Generic Sugammadex Injection

Dr Reddy's Laboratories has launched its generic version of Sugammadex injection in the United States. The product, available in two strengths, is indicated to reverse the effects of muscle relaxants used during surgery.

The company announced that it has launched Sugammadex injection 200 mg/2 mL and 500 mg/5 mL single-dose vials, a generic equivalent of Bridion. Bridion is a registered trademark of Merck Sharp & Dohme BV.

According to IQVIA National Sales Perspectives, the Bridion brand had US sales of approximately USD 1.6 billion for the latest 12-month period ended May 2022.
