Drag-to-Select Feature Disappears in Google Photos

Google Photos users have reported that the drag-to-select feature has suddenly disappeared for them. This feature allowed users to select multiple photos by dragging their finger across the screen after long-pressing a photo to enable multi-select.

The issue is not limited to Google Pixel devices, but also affects Galaxy and OnePlus phones. Affected users can still tap and hold a photo to enable multi-select, but trying to drag their finger results in scrolling up or down instead of selecting multiple photos.

Some users have reported that the feature still works on their tablets, but not on their smartphones. Android Authority has reached out to Google for comment, but no statement has been made yet.
