Druckenmiller Boosts Stake in Amazon by 1,000%
Famed investor Stanley Druckenmiller has significantly increased his stake in Amazon (AMZN) stock, boosting it by 1,000% to 541,600 shares.
Through his investment vehicle, Duquesne Family Office, Druckenmiller more than doubled his call options on AMZN. This major bet on Amazon was part of a larger rotation back into mega-cap technology stocks by the investors.
Druckenmiller reconfigured his exposure to the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors during the second quarter, eliminating his stakes in chip stocks Broadcom (AVGO), Intel (INTC), and Micron Technology (MU). He opened a new 72,900-share position in Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
Druckenmiller's other significant moves include establishing a new position in Google parent company Alphabet (GOOGL) with 336,300 shares and taking out call options on Meta Platforms (META) and Tesla (TSLA). He also placed a big bet on Delta Air Lines (DAL), initiating a sizable new position of 603,000 shares.
