Druckenmiller Dumps Intel and Micron for Amazon and Tesla Bets

Billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller has made significant changes to his portfolio, according to recent regulatory disclosures. The former protégé of George Soros and founder of Duquesne Capital has exited its stakes in chipmakers Intel and Micron Technology entirely during the second quarter.

Druckenmiller's firm built substantial new positions in Amazon and Tesla, with a notable increase in Amazon shares. Duquesne expanded its stake in AMZN shares by elevenfold to about 541,600 shares, while more than doubling its call-option position, enough to lift the company into the fund's top 10 holdings.

The scale of the move points to conviction beyond simple index tracking. Druckenmiller's bet on Amazon and Tesla marks a broader shift in institutional AI exposure, away from foundational hardware and toward operational deployment.
