Druckenmiller Piles into AI Stocks Amid Cloud Computing Boom

Billionaire hedge fund manager Stanley Druckenmiller made some significant portfolio moves during the second quarter. His firm, Duquesne Family Office, sold some of its SanDisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) stock and invested in three other AI-related companies: Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE: TSM), Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG)(NASDAQ: GOOGL), and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN).

The decision to sell SanDisk seems prudent, given the company's strong first-half performance. Druckenmiller increased his firm's stake in Taiwan Semiconductor by 19% in Q2, making it Duquesne's second-largest holding.

TSM is a major beneficiary of increased AI workloads due to its dominance in logic chip production. Alphabet and Amazon are also poised for growth as their cloud computing divisions meet the high demand for processing power to run AI workloads.
