Duncan Aviation Wins Heavy Maintenance Authorization for Honeywell RE100 APUs

Duncan Aviation has secured Honeywell Aerospace's Heavy Maintenance Authorization for the RE100 APU series, allowing the company to perform heavy repairs and in-house overhauls on three models: RE100LJ, RE100XL, and RE100CS.

The authorization covers aircraft powered by these APUs, including the Learjet 45, Learjet 75, Citation 560XL, Citation XLS, Citation Sovereign, and Citation Latitude. Duncan Aviation's 38 engine technicians have specialized training to maintain the RE100 series, with plans to offer in-house overhaul services from early 2027.

To support this new work, the company is investing in infrastructure and tooling, including a Staley Co. modular test cell that uses advanced PLC monitoring equipment to validate performance standards. This will enable Duncan Aviation to provide a seamless, end-to-end service experience for customers, eliminating the need to ship units to external facilities.
