EEOC Finds Cisco May Have Violated Civil Rights of Middle Eastern and Muslim Employees
The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has found that Cisco may have violated the civil rights of Middle Eastern and Muslim employees.
A group of employees, calling themselves 'Bridge to Humanity' (B2H), had filed a complaint with the EEOC in December 2024, alleging that the company subjected its employees to a hostile work environment.
The employees claimed that Cisco's technology was provided to the Israeli military for use in Israel's genocidal war on Gaza and that they were harassed after sending an open letter calling on the company to stop providing its technology to the Israeli government.
The EEOC's determination stated that Cisco had retaliated against one unnamed staffer for her involvement in pro-Palestine efforts by terminating her.
