Emerging Markets Fund Sees Broadening Earnings Growth
The second quarter earnings season has started on a strong note, with most S&P 500 Index companies reporting results above expectations.
Although part of the headline growth rate reflects a large one-time gain reported by Alphabet Inc., underlying earnings are still growing at a rate of more than 20%.
This broader growth is important because it makes the market less dependent on only a few AI-related companies, such as semiconductor and technology firms.
Fidelity Emerging Markets Fund (FEMKX) invests normally at least 80% of assets in securities of issuers in emerging markets and other investments tied economically to these markets.
