Emirates Boosts Flights to Accra as West Africa Demands Soar
Emirates Airlines is increasing its flights to Ghana's Kotoka International Airport (ACC) from its hub in Dubai. The airline will add a new thrice-weekly service, designated as EK789/790, departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from September 1st, 2026. This brings the total number of weekly flights to 10, up from 7 previously.
The new flights will be operated by the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which is also used for the existing daily service. The additional rotations will increase capacity between Dubai and Accra, providing more seats for passengers and cargo. From November 1st, 2026, Emirates will further increase its operations to Ghana with an 11th flight per week.
The expansion of flights to Ghana is in response to growing demand for connectivity between West Africa and the Middle East. The additional services will provide important early-morning arrivals in Accra and late-evening departures from Dubai. This increased frequency will strengthen Emirates' presence in the region and improve connectivity for passengers traveling to and from Ghana.
