Emirates Temporarily Axes A380 from Washington Dulles and Houston Flights

Emirates has made further adjustments to its US schedule due to ongoing regional conflict. The airline will temporarily remove the Airbus A380 from flights to Washington Dulles and Houston until October 25, 2026.

The changes will significantly reduce Emirates' A380 presence in the United States during September and most of October. Boeing 777 aircraft will operate the affected services from Dubai International Airport instead.

The airline had previously restored daily Airbus A380 service between Dubai and Washington Dulles on August 1, but the latest schedule revision means the superjumbo is now due to operate the Washington route only through August 31 before being withdrawn again. Emirates currently plans to operate the route with a Boeing 777-300ER during the temporary A380 suspension.

The Airbus A380 is also scheduled to be removed from Houston flights between August 25 and October 24, with Emirates planning to deploy its Boeing 777-200ER during this period.
