Emirates Transforms Aviation Parts into Iconic Arsenal Crest
The Emirates-Arsenal partnership has been marked by a unique sculpture made from upcycled aviation components, celebrating their 20-year agreement. The Aircrafted Arsenal Crest is a 2.4-metre-high illuminated installation crafted from parts of an Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft. This striking new piece was revealed at Emirates Stadium to commemorate two decades of collaboration between the airline and Premier League champions Arsenal.
The sculpture's design team, comprising 15 engineers, designers, mechanics, technicians, and painters from Emirates Engineering in Dubai, worked for 34 days to create this masterpiece. At its centre is Arsenal's iconic cannon, reconstructed using a main landing gear wheel hub from an A380 and reshaped titanium bleed air duct.
The shield itself was created from Boeing 777 aluminium fuselage skin, while aircraft cargo tracks, cargo floor panels, and roller components were repurposed throughout the design. The Arsenal lettering was individually crafted from aircraft windows and fitted with warm white lighting, with additional lighting beneath the plinth illuminating the sculpture.
Emirates Engineering's Aircraft Material Upcycling Team designed and produced the installation in-house. The finished crest was then transported from Dubai to London aboard an Emirates SkyCargo freighter before its installation at Emirates Stadium.
