EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Reminds Visitors: Bring Your ID
The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World Resort has reminded visitors of an essential item to bring: identification. Although many aspects of park visits have shifted towards digital, guests must present a valid form of ID when purchasing alcohol. This requirement is outlined in Disney's official alcohol policy.
A recent Reddit post highlighted the issue when a guest was carded repeatedly at festival booths and argued with a cast member who asked for identification. The guest claimed to be over 21 but did not have an accepted form of ID, such as a U.S. state driver's license, U.S. military ID, or original passport.
The incident emphasizes the importance of planning ahead and checking Disney's policy before visiting. Guests should review the official identification requirements, especially international travelers whose documentation may be different from what is accepted in the United States.
