EVA Air Connects Taipei and Washington with Nonstop Flight
EVA Air has launched its first-ever nonstop flight from Taipei to Washington Dulles International Airport, marking a significant milestone in air travel between Taiwan and the United States.
The flight, which began on June 26, 2026, is operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and runs four times a week. This direct link between the two cities was previously not possible due to the lack of efficient aircraft capable of making the long-haul route profitable.
For EVA Air, this new service represents its tenth North American gateway, with the airline now operating 98 weekly flights across the continent.
The Taipei-Washington Dulles route is significant not only for travelers but also for diplomatic and economic reasons. Washington D.C. is a major hub for government, policy, lobbying, and technology, making it an important destination for business and tourism.
