Executives Keep Circling Between Salesforce and OpenAI Amid Expanding Partnership

Kaylin Voss has returned to Salesforce after a five-month stint at OpenAI, joining another executive who made the round trip between the two companies.

This is not an isolated case: Peter Doolan is heading back to Salesforce from OpenAI, and Denise Dresser left Slack for OpenAI before departing nine months later. Her departure was followed by Dali Rajic's appointment as CRO in mid-August 2026, marking the fifth leadership change in that role within a single year.

The talent movement is happening against the backdrop of an expanding commercial relationship between Salesforce and OpenAI. The two companies broadened their partnership in October 2025 to integrate OpenAI's models into Salesforce platforms, including Einstein and Agentforce.
