F-15EX Fighter Jet Heads to Portland for Next Phase of Testing
A U.S. Air Force F-15EX Eagle II has departed Boeing's St. Louis facility, marking an important milestone in its journey to Kadena Air Base in Japan.
The aircraft, designated for Kadena, will modernize the base's permanent fighter force and provide advanced capabilities to strengthen readiness and support the enduring U.S.-Japan defense partnership.
The F-15EX departed Boeing on August 28, 2026, and is now en route to Portland Air National Guard Base in Oregon, where it will undergo further testing and evaluation before being delivered to Kadena.
