F1 and Disney Fuel Up for More Magical Collaborations
Formula 1 has announced a multiyear extension of its 'Fuel the Magic' collaboration with Disney, which will now run through the 2028 season. The partnership brings together two global brands to create fan experiences, merchandise, digital content, and charitable initiatives.
The agreement adds Disney and Pixar's Cars franchise to the mix for the first time, marking a significant expansion of Formula 1's entertainment portfolio. At the 2026 Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Lightning McQueen will make a special appearance, creating one of the most notable crossovers between motorsports and popular culture.
Since its launch in 2025, Fuel the Magic has become one of Formula 1's most visible fan engagement initiatives. The partnership has included appearances at the Las Vegas Grand Prix and merchandise activations at the Chinese Grand Prix. A record-breaking Make-A-Wish charity auction raised over $200,000 through the sale of a Mickey Mouse-inspired racing helmet signed by Formula 1 drivers.
Formula One Chief Commercial Officer Emily Prazer said the partnership has demonstrated 'the potential of bringing together two globally recognized brands through creativity and storytelling.' The expanded partnership signals a commitment from both organizations to create new experiences that reach beyond the racetrack and introduce new audiences to the sport.
