FAA Clears Boeing 737 MAX 7 for Delivery After Decade-Long Wait
The Boeing 737 MAX 7 has finally received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), marking a crucial milestone for the company.
The smallest variant in the MAX family, the 737 MAX 7 was first announced nearly a decade ago. To achieve certification, Boeing had to address several issues, including an overheating risk in the engine inlet that could weaken surrounding structure.
According to the FAA, the fixes included updated flight-control software, a revised flight crew alerting system, and a redesigned engine anti-ice system. The agency will continue to monitor Boeing's manufacturing process, keeping safety inspectors on site at production facilities.
