FAA Clears Boeing's New 737-7 Airplane for Commercial Service

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Boeing an amended type certificate for its new 737-7 airplane, clearing it for commercial service.

This certification validates the design and safety of the aircraft, which was developed by a team that worked through challenges during the pandemic and transitioned to new certification processes.

The 737-7 is the smallest member of the 737 MAX family, offering 135 to 160 seats in a two-class configuration while providing about 10 percent more range potential than its siblings.
