FAA Clears Boeing's Smaller 737 Max Variant for Flight
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted certification to Boeing's 737 Max-7, a smaller variant of the troubled 737 Max family.
The certification marks a significant milestone for Boeing, which has faced intense scrutiny and regulatory hurdles following two fatal crashes of the larger 737 Max model in 2018 and 2019.
Boeing says the 737 Max-7 is designed to be more fuel-efficient than its predecessor and will have a range of over 3,850 nautical miles.
