The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted certification to Boeing's 737 MAX 7, marking a significant milestone for the American planemaker.

This approval comes after years of delays and a more stringent certification process following two fatal MAX 8 crashes in 2018 and 2019.

The FAA's scrutiny also extended to Boeing's production and quality systems after a January 2024 incident involving an Alaska Airlines MAX 9, where a mid-air cabin panel blowout occurred on a nearly new aircraft.
