FAA Orders Probe into Cracked Fuselage of Hundreds of Boeing 737 Jets

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an Airworthiness Directive for hundreds of Boeing 737 jets due to cracks in their fuselage.

The directive affects approximately 471 airplanes, including the 737-8, 8-200, and 737-9 models.

The FAA estimates that these cracks may lead to a loss of structural integrity in the aircraft's principal structural element.

Boeing acknowledged the issue and said it has been working with operators for six years to address the problem.
