A fantasy football league in the United States has come up with an unusual punishment for its last-place finisher. The loser was forced to dress as The Very Hungry Caterpillar and eat every item from the classic children's book.
The video of the incident, which has over two million views, shows a man in a full green striped costume with a red mask and purple antennae sitting at a table loaded with various foods. He works through the items in sequence, just like in the book, including apples, pears, plums, strawberries, oranges, cake, ice cream, pickle, salami, lollipops, and cherry pie.
The caterpillar version of the punishment is notable for its commitment to the theme. The man sticks to the script the whole time, even biting into watermelon, cupcakes, and sausage while staying in character. His face shows the struggle as the food volume builds quickly, but he holds his stomach and laughs through the clear discomfort by the end.
