Fervo Taps Google for 3 GW Enhanced Geothermal Capacity
Fervo Energy (NASDAQ: FRVO) has signed a non-binding framework agreement with Google Energy to develop up to 3 GW of enhanced-geothermal capacity through 2033.
The framework establishes priority geographies and a standard contract structure, but does not require Google to buy the full 3 GW or constitute a project-specific power purchase agreement.
Fervo must propose at least 1 GW of projects during the first two years of the framework. The agreement also grants Google a right of first refusal over portions of Fervo's near-term pipeline.
This deal builds on a previous partnership between Fervo and Google, which developed a 3 MW enhanced-geothermal project in Nevada in 2025.
