Fidelity Hotel Brings Luxury and History to Downtown Cincinnati
Cincinnati's newest boutique hotel, The Fidelity Hotel, opened its doors on July 28 in the restored historic Gwynne Building. This independently-owned hotel is located at the corner of 6th Street and Main Street in downtown Cincinnati.
The building was once the headquarters for Procter & Gamble, and its restoration pays tribute to its founder, Alice Claypoole Gwynne Vanderbilt. The original details were uncovered during the renovation process, including G's throughout the cast ironwork and V's for Gwynne and Vanderbilt, as well as the Cincinnati emblem.
The hotel features 165 rooms, including a presidential suite and bunk rooms, with floor-to-ceiling original windows. It also has four meeting spaces and two restaurants: The Gwynne, a full-service restaurant helmed by Cincinnati veteran chef Brad Bernstein, and Cora's, a street-side coffee shop.
According to Jessica Tomain, director of sales and marketing, the hotel aims to have an upscale yet residential feeling, welcoming all guests. With its historic charm and modern amenities, The Fidelity Hotel is expected to attract visitors to downtown Cincinnati.
