Fine-Tuning Microsoft Word's Numbered Lists for Better Readability
Microsoft Word's numbered list feature is easy to use, but modifying its settings can be less intuitive. Knowing the right settings and where to find them is crucial.
When creating a numbered list, users might notice three default settings: indents and spacing between numbers and items. To access these options, right-click on the numbers and choose Adjust List Indents from the submenu.
The alignment setting, on the other hand, can be found in the Numbering dropdown menu within the Paragraph group. Changing the Alignment setting from Left to Right will align two-digit numbers with previous one-digit numbers.
