Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep Edition Combines Wearable Tech with Gaming Fun
The Google Fitbit Air Pokémon Sleep Edition is a wearable tracker designed to appeal to fans of the popular game Pokémon Sleep. It pairs a screenless Fitbit Air with the Pokémon Sleep app, allowing users to track their sleep and contribute to the game's progress. The special edition comes with a unique design, featuring a Sleeping Pikachu label and a champagne-gold stainless-steel buckle.
The tracker itself has no display, which means it won't disturb users during the night. It records data on overnight movement and heart-rate-related metrics, which can be reviewed later in Google Health. The Fitbit Air is water-resistant up to 50 meters and offers up to seven days of battery life, with a five-minute charge providing up to one day of power.
The collaboration between Fitbit and Pokémon Sleep aims to make sleep tracking more engaging for gamers. Users can import their sleep data into the game, which uses it to create a sleep score that combines with Snorlax's strength to determine 'Drowsy Power'. This feature is available on both Android and iOS devices.
The special edition also includes a three-month trial of Google Health Premium, which provides additional insights and features. However, users should note that the tracker is not intended for medical purposes and should not be relied upon for diagnosing or treating sleep disorders.
